About Tusculum Kids
This is a ministry for children ages birth to fifth grade. We want to introduce kids to God’s love, encourage each one to know Jesus, and transform their lives with the Bible. We work in partnership with parents by providing them tools along the path of their child's spiritual development.
We have opportunities for your family during worship, during class time, and at many other special events we plan for children and their families. Our Bible classes are a wonderful way for kids to learn about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Children are taught the basic concepts of God as the Creator and the Lover of mankind through songs, stories, and developmentally appropriate activities. Our curriculum gives children an overview of the Bible at increasingly deeper levels from the nursery years to the fifth grade, preparing them for entrance into our Youth Ministry and for the rest of their lives.
Child Protection
We take the safety of our children very seriously. All teachers, helpers, and nursery attendants have passed a background check. Also, every child is issued a two-part name tag. One tag is for your child and one is for the parent who will be picking up the child. This is the only way your child may be picked up from class.

Here's what to expect for your child.
During Worship
We offer a staffed nursery during worship service, caring for children from birth to 36 months. We also offer Kids’ Praise (children’s worship) for children 3 years old to kindergarten. Children will be dismissed for Kids’ Praise during worship.

Age-Specific Classes
We believe it is important to take into account children's ages and learning styles. We use curriculum that will help your children engage with God's word in ways that they can grasp. It is exciting to see a little one begin and grow their journey of faith.
Nursery and Toddlers
Our nursery and toddler children enjoy a time of interactive learning through songs and rhymes that relate to Bible stories. There are “touchables” for the children to hold throughout their Bible lesson. Table time varies according to age and attention span. Parts of the lesson are repeated each week, which provides consistency and security for our little ones - they know what to expect.
Your child will need a well-stocked diaper bag with all contents labeled. Please be sure your child has a change of clothes, diapers, wipes, any necessary bottles/sippy cups and food items, and, of course, any item that soothes your child. We want to be able to care for your little one with great love and having anything your child may need helps us do just that.

Preschool (Ages 2-5)
During arrival, children are welcomed by their teachers and invited to engage in a time of free play with age-appropriate toys, games, and Bible- themed activities. Teachers then present a Bible story to their class. The curriculum is designed to present Bible truths in an interactive setting that takes advantage of preschool children’s need to experience life with all their senses while learning more about the God who made the world they’re so interested in exploring.
Elementary (Kindergarten - 5th Grade)
Children participate in Bible lessons that develop their faith, character, and purpose in life. Bible stories are presented in ways that are engaging, fun, meaningful, and relevant to our elementary students’ lives! Each month students visit a variety of themed classrooms and learn through hands-on activities, songs, skits, and more!
We believe that when you combine the greatest story ever told with an exciting, fast-paced environment filled with visuals, drama, cooking, science experiments, and multimedia, you can’t go wrong.
